Trying to drive a recovered/stolen auto from Chicago to Indianapolis... auto had no tires, but now I'm informed that the is NO key. What process do I need to do to drive this 2009 Chevy Impala. Can I change the ignition switch?

What proof of ownership do you have? You should be able to take the car to a Chevy dealership to have a key made.

Or possibly with just the VIN number with all the proper documentation of ownership to support it.
Check with a GM dealer.
