What's up with this Carrier 58GS125-JA
I'm house sitting for my sister. I had to keep resetting her furnace. But this morning I flipped the switch (looks like a light switch) and saw that the pilot lights were gone & the furnace didn't tick as if it were a gas stove trying to ignite. I took the faceplate off & saw that I also don't have flames anywhere. Can someone help me. I'm an electrician, but gas scares the out of me. Getting shocked doesn't hurt more than burned up.

May have a hot surface ignitor. No pilot or "ticking ". Why flip a switch? Thermostat set properly.

I'm an Electrician, and anytime you remove the power for a certain amount of time to any device the device automatically resets. So that's why the FurnaceMan told me to reset it yesterday on another site. I can activate the fan with the ON switch, but can't get a flame.
