I recently picked up an old "Brentwood" riding mower. It has an 8HP Briggs and Stratton Engine and a triple blade cutting deck. I'm guessing it's from the late 60's/ early 70's given its design and all metal construction. It's in great shape (except for the seat), but doesn’t start any more. I'd like to rebuild it, but can't find any information on this brand? Hoping you can shed some light as to where I might start looking for information and parts.

Searching produced few results. MTD owns more brand names than anyone can easily name. Another manufacturer comes to mind and that is Murray, which started in Ohiom but ended its existence prior to being owned by Briggs with factories in Jackson and Brentwoodm TN.
Pictures may help as well as numbers off the frames of the machine and the engine. The engine should have three sets above the spark plug. Often a model and serial number tag on the machine itelf will tell the location of the factory.
