We have replaced our submersible pump that was in the well 400 feet.

The men who replaced it said that the sediment would clear after 24 hours if I used a hose to run the water for a few hours.

I did this and after 48 hours I still have sediment in the water.

How long should I expect the sediment to be there?

Water should have cleared by now. The pump may be too low. Have it raised about 2 feet and see if that helps.
