When flush toilet the tank refills but the bowl refills very little water

Take the top off the tank and look at the flush ballcock. There should be a small tube running from the ballcock to the overflow tube in the middle of the tank. Not uncommon for the tube to split or pop out of the tube. Water flows into the center overflow and fills the bowl.
