What to do with built in concrete showerpan
I have a recessed shower area in my basement where a shower once was it has a drain and was tiled. I removed the tile and I am not sure how to cover it up so I can make it level with the other part of my basement . I would like to put a soaker tub over it. The area is about 36" x 48" and is about 4 inches deep. What is the best way to cover it up. Should I mix up some concrete and pour it in ? Can I use some pressure treated 2x4's to level it . Please help.. can send pics if needed. Thanks bathroomnewb in denver

Use concrete to level to existing floor. Bring drain up in location that is needed for tub with trap.

I am positive I asked a question on this point yesterday but its not here. Are you saying you pan is actually part of the basement floor? Are you certain the old shower was trapped, if so, no need for another trap
