Help... My ceiling fan pull switch broke. Upon taking the light kit down... pieces fell out and I do not know what wires go to the available spaces L,1,2,3... please help!!

Yes, there is. I do not know what brand the ceiling fan is.

So this is the pull chain for the fan only, nothing to do with the lights, right? If so the black and white are the hot and neutral coming in from your home. The yellow and blue go to the fan motor and the motor wires should match, yellow and blue.

yes, this is the fan pull chain only. The blk comes directly from the fan above as far as I can tell. The white comes from the reverse switch thingie, and the blue and yellow come from a little black box that seems to be connected to the fan above by a red wire...I think. I will check again in the morning. thanks
