I started to feel sick a few days before I usually have my period (I am in my mid-20s, on birth control and have regular monthly periods). I have had a high fever for the last two days which is when my period would usually start. I do have sex regularly with my long term partner. Of course I know there is always a chance that I am pregnant since I have sex but would a fever be enough to delay my period? For the last 5 years I have never been more than a day late. How long should I wait before taking a pregnancy test?
