    Legal guardianship
    Hi,

I have been going to court for over 2 years now for maintenance and haven't gotten very far as the father of my child claims to be jobless. The court just takes his word for it. His Mother has had to pay on his behalf and this lasted 3 months. I have not received maintenance in 6 months and no one seems to be able to help me.

The father has left the country and has gotten a job. He has not reported this to the court nor did he inform me that he was leaving.

I am happy him not being around as he sold and took drugs.

I want to find out how do I get him off the certificate as he hasn't been involved for over a year. We were never married and never lived together ?

You can not "take him off of the certificate" nor can you take his rights.

You can get the legal evidence you need and take him back to court.

So he does not tell the truth.? Sorry not a big surprise. What you do is get the evidence to prove where he works and present it in court. When you take him back

If by taking him off the certificate, you mean birth certificate, no you can't do that. Nor can you terminate his rights, unless you marry and get your husband to adopt him.

You made a choice to have sex with this person and now you have to deal with the consequences of that choice.
