    Transformer polarity
Lost transformer-ac110/120v,output-DC 9v 400/500ma. No polarity info. Have 3 universal adapters with polarity switches. Is there a way to figure out polarity so I don't fry the multi- action x- mas musical figure?

Most DC adapters have the polarity marked on them. As a rule, but not 100%, the center is positive.
