    Contraceptive pill
Hello, I am 18 years old and recently started to have sex with my boyfriend using only condoms. I don't feel completely safe though and I would like to know how safe condoms are and if it is better to take a contraceptive pill in addition to condoms

It is safer to take contraceptive pills in addition to condoms. Condoms are about 80% effective and that is dependent on proper use and quality of product. For example if you get a defective condom then it could break, or if he doesn't put it on right it could slip off inside you. As well what happens if he forgets condoms or you run out?

Condoms are also better at STI prevention as well. I would advise doing condoms and a hormonal birthcontrol pill.
