My son is 14 months 3 weeks and he still hasn't made a step yet. He stand up hold on to things but doesn't want to walk on his own. He stand up he a vey fast crawler but walking he doesn't seem to get it.. I am worried because my friends kids are walking and I feel left out nobody is not giving me an support they just make me feel sad cause they said he should be walking I need help.. Somebody tell me what I should be doing..

My son didn't walk until nearly 15 months. Some kids just take longer to take that plunge---and if he can crawl really fast, why would he want to walk slowly? If he is standing hanging on to things, and will walk holding your fingers, I wouldn't worry too much yet.

If he is still not walking at 18 months, you will want to definitely consult your pediatrician, though.

PS--I bet your son is more advance than your friends' kids in other areas--is he maybe talking more, or talking more clearly? Does he have better motor control, or is he better able to feed himself? While your son may not have walked as fast as your friends' kids, I'm betting he HAS mastered something they haven't. Don't compare your child to other children TOO much--he'll develop at his own pace. Just keep cheering him on and helping him and he should do fine.
