Can a wax ring be reused if a new toilet needs to be removed for linoleum replacement
I had a new toilet installed in a property I own, but now I need to temporarily remove the toilet to put in linoleum. Can I just set it back down on the fairly new wax ring. The toilet is so new it hasn't even been used.

It is already compressed to fit existing conditions. Any change to floor elevation may not give a good seal. The wax ring is fairly inexpensive and should be replaced. No need to ask for problems.

And if it wasn't compressed, that would mean that you need a thicker one.

Wax gasket is $3.00... not worth a leaker. Replace the gasket... quick, easy and gives peace of mind!
