I would get a second opinion and get a blood test. There are some women whose pregnancys' don't test positive. You could be one of them. As well getting a full work out would be advantageous too, make sure everything is healthy and working.

Thank you for your reply... I did have a smear about 3 weeks ago everything was normal?? I think another trip to doctors is needed as whilst I'm not having a cycle I cannot try for a baby if not already pregnant... I have been reading about not getting a positive but still could be pregnant didn't think it wa. Possible but now believing... I have tried to feel my belly laying down but don't know what I am looking for ? I do hope I am pregnant x

Your uterus is still tucked away in your pelvis. If you were pregnant you wouldn't be able to feel it for a while.

The thing to remember is that our body is horribly complex and there are things that we just can't explain. Maybe your version of a hormone is a little different and doesn't bind to the detector but it works fine in your body. There are so many reasons.

Good luck. And keep trying just in case. If you're already pregnant, getting a little more sex won't hurt things.
