I have an Ariens SS322 snow blower and when the chute is turned to the left and I start blowing snow the chute turns back all by itself. If its to the right it stays in that position just fine. Can you tell me what part I may need to fix this problem.

Cannot tell you for sure. Whatever it is is caused by the torque of the snow being discharged. No manuals exist for that model at Ariens manual site. There is however parts breakdowns through ariens PartsRadar at the ARINet site. The machine is a 3HP Tecumseh engine on a 22" snowthrower. It is in the 938 family starting at 938001 through 930015 and 938301 through 938305. PartsRadar can be found at:
