Sip of alcohol and EtG testing
Will a sip of alcohol cause you to fail EtG test 19-20 hours later?

ONLY a little sip? A teaspoon or less, enough to wet your lips?

    Hard liquor? wine? beer?

Only a tiny sip. Maybe enough to wet my lips. It was my girlfriends margarita from red lobster

After doing some research, I'd say it's iffy for that short of a time between the sip and test. Even using an alcohol-based hand sanitizer, using mouthwash containing alcohol, or eating food (Christmas rum balls) can cause a fail. What will you lose if you fail the test?

The test is supposed to be extremely sensitive (gives off false readings even for alcohol wipes or mouthwash) and measures metabolites, not the actual alcohol. Let us know if you passed.

I'm not even 100% sure that is the right type of test. Drug court is what I'm doing.

You will probably be fine. In the future though, just don't take any chances.
