Well I dated my husband for a bit before we got married. It was wonderful, we had everything in common and I was blissful. We've been married for 9 years and I'm slowly starting to find out that all we had in common is not at all the same. He said he wanted us to work so he went along with and agreed with everything. Also I have now found out that he is bi-polar ADHD and none of this was told to me before marriage. He has horrible anger issues and lies all the time and I'm fed up and want out now!! Can this be brought up to the judge as false pretense so you can annul our marriage?

Usually people obtain a divorce and today most states are no fault, meaning the reason you want the divorce doesn't really matter. If one party wants the divorce, they can get it. If you are Catholic you can pursue annulment through the church. Usually legal annulments are based on a marriage being entered into illegally, such as if one partner is already married to someone else, is underage, or perhaps not competent to enter into a marriage due to intellectual, mental or health problems. Lying would likely not be enough.

But you can get out of the marriage, certainly.

You will merely file for divorce. No there is no need to tell you of this, if you had dated for any length of time, all of this would or should have been obvious.
