Bolt on side of toilet is loose and leaking massive amounts of water
The bolt on the side of my toilet is loose and water keeps coming out of it. I tried screwing it with a wrench so it would be tighter but the bolt isn't connected to the floor(under the toilet) so it just stays loose. Any way of solving this? Sorry if I used any wrong terms.. I'm such a girl hehe >w< Thanks! :)

Hi Katrice and welcome, Yes there's a way to solve your problem but it will require you to pull the toilet, do you think your up to that? There pretty heavy.

If you want to try post back and somebody will help. Good luck

Yes, you will have to pull the toilet. Meaning you will have to lift it up and sit it aside. You have water leaking, that means something is wrong under the toilet and must be fixed.
That problem can't be fixed by just tighten the bolt. If you don't fix the leaking water, that will create a lot more problems.

Good advice by both experts. But since you have me leakage when you flush the wax seal to the ruptured. Your toilet will have to be pulled and the wax seal inspected over replaced. When you pull the toilet. Place it up right on some cardboard. Don't forget that there is still about a gallon of water left in the trap in the bowl. Let me know how you make out. Good luck, Tom

Because of weight you may want to drain the tank, unbolt it and remove the tank from the bowl. That way, you only have 1/2 the weight to lift.
