    Fat Santa started with Thomas Nast in the 1890s and etched in stone by early Coke ads (Coke ain't just for summer anymore).

    Yes, I'm just sour. I couldn't fit down a chimney either these days.

    Santa uses UPS to deliver his toys. The reindeer and half the elves got laid off years ago.

    Amazon drones only carry 5 lbs. Fat Santa is going to have to continue to use magic.

    1.Santa is fat because of the cookies
    2.Kelly is probably incorrect . St Nick was from modern Greece/Turkey .So his skin was probably olive complexion.
    3.The legend of fat Santa predates Coke commercials ;at least as early as ' A Visit From St. Nicholas ' ( Clement Clarke Moore 1823)
    Quote:

    He was dress'd all in fur, from his head to his foot,
    And his clothes were all tarnish'd with ashes and soot;
    A bundle of toys was flung on his back,
    And he look'd like a peddler just opening his pack:
    His eyes — how they twinkled! His dimples: how merry,
    His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry;
    His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
    And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow;
    The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
    And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
    He had a broad face, and a little round belly
    That shook when he laugh'd, like a bowl full of jelly:
    He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
    And I laugh'd when I saw him in spite of myself;

    Nahh ;Santa is a survivor of the War against Christmas. No one ever puts up posters that say " Who needs Santa during Christmas? Nobody."
    Atheists' Times Square Billboard: 'Who Needs Christ at Christmas? Nobody' | CNS News
    5. Amazon has been grounded by the FAA . NORAD tracks Santa's flight so I assume he's cleared to fly .
    Despite Amazon

    This wasn't about santa but about the human condition

    Not when Christmas is in the dead of the winter, and the temperature is below freezing. Which was every year.

    That might be now but back then there would be no home without a chimney. The age has changed, my little grand son asked new about santa recently and I deflected the question, it has never been something that has been pushed in his house

    But this is the age of the battle of the bulge, not just santa but we all become subject to life style which was the point I was making
