Electrical, AFCI protection on new single family home
I'm getting ready to rough-in a new home. I'm trying to save some money on AFCI
receptacles vs circuit breakers. I'm planning to run a couple of 1" conduits to a bank of AFCI receptacles near both panels. My question is about dedicated circuits
Such as kitchen GFCI, dw/gd, tc, washer/dryer. Are we AFCI protecting GFCI circuits, or can we use these instead? And what about the smoke detector/carbon
monoxide circuit? AFCI protected and on it's own circuit ?
