    Hello k:

Have your son write them a CERTIFIED letter outlining their OUTRAGEOUS requirements, and DEMAND a hearing. Have him say the same things you did here. Send his letter certified, return receipt requested... He should send copies to the offending magistrate, the head judge, the supervisor of probation, the prosecutor, your local newspaper, and your local TV.

No, they're not gonna LIKE it very much... So?

PS> (edited) After more thought, with a sentence of 2 years probation, he was obviously charged with a felony. Therefore, he SHOULD have had a lawyer appointed for him if he couldn't afford one himself... That lawyer SHOULD also help.

I will also add that he must not have had an attorney, this should have been nothing but a fine, and maybe 6 months probation.

I agree with excon there has to be something else going on. Is there more to this story, post offense ? Other legal trouble
