    How water tank
I am going away from Ohio for a couple months. I have an all electric home and I want to know the best way to treat my hot water tank during this time. There will be no one using any water. I live in a one floor condo and the tank is in my garage. I will have the heat at a mere 55 or 60 degrees.

Set the thermostats to Vacation or as low as possible.

Shut the power off to the water heater at the main electrical panel, and then shut off your MAIN WATER SHUTOFF... saves money and prevents any possibility of catastrophic flooding while you are gone... ;)
