Thanks you have explained the process. I hope you don't think that I am not to bright but I do have one more question. If I was a one week pregnant on January 5th that means my first day of pregnancy had to be Dec. 29th. Did I get pregnant the week of Christmas or the week before? My fiance' can't be right can he? We were intimate every day the week of the 18th and on the 26th or the 27th. When I found out I was pregnant I was already 8 weeks on Feb. 23rd. So in your professional opinion was it the week of or the week before christmas.

What was the first day of your period? Doctors judge your pregnancy from the first day of your last period. So on feb 23 when you found out you were pregnant, your baby's date would be about 6 weeks, even though you are considered 8 weeks pregnant(conception dates are usually two weeks after the first day of your last period.) So, if I am getting all of your information correctly, December 29th would have been the first day of your period. If that is correct, then your conception date would have been around January 12th.

Oh, Sweetie, I am sorry I missed your post. Have been busy with exams and all recently.

It is VERY hard to tell if you got pregnant the week of Christmas or the week before. Your doctor would be the best one to ask that as s/he can do ultrasounds that will actually measure the baby and the determination can be done better that way.

One week here (the week of christmas) or one week there (the week before) is truly almost impossible to tell, especially over the internet.

To help in figuring out your conception date, we need the first day of your last period.

Now understand that this will only be an estimate. It will not be carved in stone.
