Spotting than heavy bleeding, blood clots
Hi I recently missed 2periods, before that I went 6weeks without a period. Last Thursday I started spotting and on Tuesday just gone the spotting turned into heavy bleeding where I am still today having to change every 2hours... Any ideas as to what could be wrong? Neg pregnancy test, had pelvic cramp, leg cramp, nausea 4weeks ago, lower back pain... Scared & confussed :( please comment

This advice is a distant second to a visit to a Doctor.

You could have been pregnant and it didn't take so the clot could have been the in-viable embryo. Though having irregular periods doesn't help clearing up this mystery. That is pretty heavy bleeding too, you might want to visit your doctor pretty quickly.

A visit to your doctor is a must.

It could just be an off month, heavier bleeding than normal. It could be a miscarriage, and if you're still bleeding heavily from it, it may be that you need a D & C.

The rule I was told from my doctor, if you have to change a pad every 2 hours due to heavy bleeding, it's time to go to the hospital.
