I have a jacuzzi bathtub in the master bath. I have hot water in all the faucets , tubs and showers in the house except in the jacuzzi bathtub. I just had the mixing valve on the furnace replaced and that was obviously not the problem. Any suggestions? Please help! :)

OK, tell us what kind of valve you have on the jacuzzi. Single or two handle. When opened to the hot side, do you get water? If so, is it hot, cold or warm? Is this a tub valve or a tub and shower valve?
Is this something new? Has any plumbing work been done recently other than replacing the mixing valve?

I'd bet you that the juacuzzi has its own mixing valve (tempering valve). Here, many states now require a separate mixing valve to be dedicated exclusively to the Jacuzzi.

Most codes now require 120F-125F as a maximum water temperature to the home. Code then requires us to regulate single lever tub and shower valves to 112F-115F maximum... this is done by a tempering valve integral to tub and shower valves nowadays. The problem then became what to do with Jacuzzi tubs and the two handle faucets so common with them. The solution in most states became installation of a dedicated tempering valve set at 112F-115F... ;)

Look inside the access panel for the Jacuzzi and see if you can find the tempering valve (looks something like the image below)... most likely the tempering valve element or similar part has gone bad and needs to be replaced. You should also look under the bathroom sinks and behind any access panels you may know of...

I'd bet that's the issue here!!

Wow! Thank you for the information! I don't know where the access panel is ! It is a free standing bathtub in the master bath. The picture looks like the mixing valve I replaces on the furnace . I truly hope my furnace guy didn't take me on this one :(

Thank you for answering! It is a
Free standing two person tub with two values and no shower stall. The house was build in 1989 and there has been no other work done. Everything else is fine in the house. The water doesn't seem to be coming out as fast to. We have a well so it can be slow sometimes. Any suggestions?

Hi Lorsa

A freestanding tub makes it even more probable that the mixing valve is hidden somewhere... maybe in a closet? You should also look at the access panel that houses the Jacuzzi motor...look around in that area.

Look around, chase out the pipes, if possible. You may even find the tub mixing valve downstairs near your water heater... ;)

When you open the hot side only, do you get hot, warm or cold water?

While you are looking for that mixing valve, just to eliminate a possibility, close the hot water to your clothes washing machine and see if anything changes.
