I had a Day and Night 60,000btu furnace installed recently. When it turns on there is a high pitched whine that continues as the blower engages. It is very annoying. Is this normal?

I wouldn't think it was normal but you need to contact the installing dealer to have them come out & check things.

Sounds like your inducer fan. Comes on when thermostat calls for heat?
