I had sex on November 16th, and I was supposed to start my period on the 28th. This is my first time having sex. I've seen several things online saying it can be delayed because it was my first time, I'm not sure.. It's been 6 days late and I'm freaking out. I've had period symptoms, but haven't started yet. I've had the pimples, the bloating, the back aches, sore boobs, and cramping. Why am I late? We used protection, a condom. Help?

There is NOTHING that says that your period is delayed after your first time. That is a wives tale as well as "You can't get pregnant your first time." Thankfully you thought of that and used protection. The problem with condoms is that they can fail. I am sure that you used it properly. Pulled out after ejaculation, removed, and disposed of? There wasn't any precondom insertion. Anytime you have sex there is the possibility of pregnancy. There are people here who have used three kinds of birth control correctly in a single encounter and still got pregnant.

Chances are the stress is making your period late or you could just be having an off period. Sometimes the most regular people can have late periods.

The only thing you can do is wait. If you don't get your period in eight or so days then take a home pregnancy test with early morning urine.

Might also be a good time to have the Pregnancy/child talk with your Boyfriend.
