Not really... most people who were adults back then will say he was never the man the myth claims he was...

He died in my lifetime... I was just too young to remember it... and I can say it hasn't effected me personally at all...

JFK had been the youngest man ever elected to the presidency so he caught the attention of bright-eyed college students who greatly mourned his death. I came from a rural area where the Republican farmers hated him for putting controls on the markets.
