Shoplifted - not arrested- will I pass a vulnerable sector check In Ontario?
About a year and a half ago I was going through hard times and decided to be an idiot and shoplift at walmart, I stole some maturity clothes and food items. I went to the back room and have security all of my information, the police were called, the security gave them my info, the banned me from walmart for a year. I was never arrested or changed with anything but a couple of days later a police officer called me and spoke with me about the incident and notified me that this occurrence was in my files, in case this every happened again (which it WOULD NEVER), that way the cops would know to arrest me next time. My question is: if I do a vulnerable sector police record check, would this come up as "police contact"? I am applying to the school board and I am terrified that this stupid mistake will ruin my future.

    Hello:

If you weren't arrested, then there's NO record.

You "shop lifted maturity clothes"? Now there is an oxymoron.
