    Upstairs/Downstairs
When I set the thermostat for comfortable temp downstairs the upstairs is too cold. I have tried moving the directional vent back and forth in both spots on the unit and last night I shut all but two of the downstairs vents and it seemed a little warmer upstairs. What should I do to make the heat more even?

Have a separate zone installed, with separate thermostat. You will recoup the cost in the long run, especially if you want each floor warm only at certain times.

What you are experiencing is very unusual. Nearly always it's too warm upstairs. Is the upstairs over an unconditioned space such as a garage?
