Ok this is going to sound like a strange question, but hopefully someone will know the answer!

Recently me and my sister were talking and she said something that stumped me about men, hense why I wanted to find out if it's true.
Basically she said that if men are too aroused by their partner that it can be hard for them to either get an erection or maintain one.
So I was just wondering, is this true or has elements of truth to it?

I know it's a bit of a funny subject, but I'm quite curious to see what others think.

Never happened to me.

Most the time if I am horny and soft it is because of a well known disease called whisky d!ck. Usually Single Malt Whisky d!ck, thought sometimes Rye or Bourbon Whiskey d!ck occurs as well. The rum d!ck usually involves me, my pirate hat and boots but I won't say much more then that.

In the end it is up to the person in question.

Just an update - yes I know the question is strange but only SERIOUS answers please!

I don't think this can actually happen, being TOO arroused to perform well. At least to the best of my knowledge with male partners.

Thought craven's answer was quite good, but yes, up to the person, and that person's maturity and experience level.

He gave you a serious answer....he said, "In the end it is up to the person in question"...there you go. What you are asking doesn't cover 100% of men...like they don't all do it. Some may, some won't be affected....there has never been a formal test on this that I know of...certain things can cause men to have ED...is it from being too aroused? I doubt it...but I suppose it could be possible. So...in the end it is up to the person in question.

Hasn't happened to me. It depends on the person in question. This is the first I heard of this.

If that is happening to you, or "your friend", then I would be wondering about erectile dysfunction. Arousal, no matter how intense, is biological mean to prepare the body for sex. Going limp doesn't fit into that equation. There must be something else inhibiting the erection. It isn't common.
