Marrying an American citizen who may have a felony
I am on a student visa in the US. I have been dating my fiancée who is an American citizen and we are planning to get married. The problem is that few months ago, she got in trouble when she was in the wrong place and wrong time and she may have some felony charges and may need to be on probation. She won't go to jail or anything. Now if I marry her, does that affect me with getting my green card or it does not matter since she is a US citizen and I have a clean record myslef. Please let me know.

As long as your record is clean I think everything should be fine. FBI does a criminal investigation on the person who is applying for residentcy not the US Citizen. But I may be wrong. In my case I filled papers for my husband and everything was fast and easy since I'm a US Citizen and he entered the US legally and we both has a clean record
