Both the fan and lights stopped working yesterday.Technition ggot the fan working, but still none of the lights work. There is power to the wall switch and all 3 light sockets.The remote also works. Tried regular bulbs... nothing.. tried cfc bulbs... wit bulb, with only one, it flickered when 2 were used the 1st bulb lost most of its power

If technician got fan working, he should have been able to trouble shoot light. Even though you say remote is working, and I'm not sure what that means, base on what you have described I suspect that the remote is defective. Remove the remote and wire directly to light fixture, to confirm or eliminate the remote as the problem.
