    Cyctic hygroma and down syndrome
Whether cyctic hygroma and down syndrome are same.

Through scan cyctic hygroma is identified and as a next step it is advised to take down syndrome screening test.

Also it is told that we have to abort.

Question is : when she conceive the next time will she have the same problem?
Is there a way to avoid this?

You are asking us an impossible question. If there is the possibility that this could happen, there would be no way to avoid it.

To answer your question if they are the same or not. No they are not the same. But if cyctic hygroma is found by a scan then there is good reason to check for other congenital birth defects going on. This alone may still have a positive outcome but combined with others it may be much harder to deal with. The extent of the cyctic hygroma is what is the determining factor as to viability or not. Consult closely with the doctor and make sure you stay informed.
