I got my top belly button pierced January this year (2013) and I had it in for a month and a few weeks, before my body rejected it. Iam now left with scar tissue, which also happened with my mum. I was wondering if it would do the same if I was to get the bottom pierced? Help please.

Most of the time your body doesn't "reject" a piercing. What happens is you have an allergic reaction to the metals and that causes a problem. You need to check with your doctor and see what tests can be done if any so it is safe for you. There may be no options.

As well when you're pierced if it doesn't go deep enough it might just grow out with your skin. It isn't really a rejection it is just in a layer that is slowing rising to the top.
