Hello I just wanted to ask a question about one of my friends that has been on my mind for the past couple of days. So here is the situation I have this friends who says like every other month that she is pregnant but she always has a miscarrige or an abortion . So about 2days ago she called me and told me that she went to go get and ultrasound done:confused: and they told her that she had a miscarriege 1 month ago she was 4 months pregnant when she told me, but that's not all she also said that the doctors were amazed because she was also 3wks pregnant again , she said they said that they never seen anything like this before in there career . But my question is could you possibly have a miscarriege and not no about in until a month ago . And if so could you be able to get pregnant a week after a miscarriege I hope this is true , because why would she lie to me like that. Someone help me out because this is eating me up inside.:confused:

Sounds fishy to me. If she did get an ultrasound she should have pics. Ask for them. Besides, if she were 3 weeks pregnant they probably wouldn't be able to see it on the u/s. At 3 weeks pregnant the baby would actually only be 1 week old. Pregnancy is counted in weeks from the first day of your last period, even though you aren't pregnant at that point. Sorry, but it sounds to me like your friend isn't being honest with you. Some girls will tell these lies because they are missing something in their life and need to feel special. By her "constantly being pregnant, having miscarriages and abortions" she gets more attention that she normally wouldn't. I don't think you can have more than 3 abortions, either. Hope this helped. I agree with automansgirl. It sound a bit fishy to me. She makes these " pregnancies" sounds like a game. Also sounds like she just enjoys the sympathy/attention that she gets from it. (esp the part about the doctors saying they had never seen anything like this is their careers before and they were amazed. I really doubt this is the case, because many women have had miscarriages and gotten pregnant right away. Also, I agree, I think it would be much too early for them to be able to see a pregnancy on an ultrasound. If it is true and she has been having multiple abortions, yet still getting pregnant right away every month, she obviously doesn't take life seriously, and is incredibly irresponsible.Definitely sounds like she is looking to be "special and unusual" and using the pregnancy excuse to achieve it.)Next time she says something about it, tell her you would like to go to the appointment with her, because its important to you that you show her support. See what she says. If she is pregnant, she can take you to a prenatal appointment with her. If not, then she can't very well fake a doctor appointment, and will likely have to come up with an excuse, or say she suddenly had another miscarriage or something. Good luck to you sweety. Strangest thing I've ever heard. However, I do know that women miscarry all of the time and have no clue. Doctors say that they may just experience a real heavy blood flow and think nothing of it. HOWEVER... If she was 4 months pregnant and lost it... SHE WOULD KNOW!
I have to agree.. I think it is an attention getter.
Question... Is she doing this to try and keep a man?

Just tell her to stop lying, you are tired of her wanting attention.
When she says it is all true, just say show me the reciepts from the doctor, insurance company and so on.

Your friend is exhibiting what is called Attention Seeking Behavior. Everyone has mentioned this so far, but I just wanted you to know there is an actual name for it.

Apparently she has some psychological issues that make her want to be the center of attention at any costs. She could also have something called Munchausens Syndrome wherein a person makes up, and believes, in a certain illness.

It seems as though something may be missing in her life where she requires the attention from others.

There really is little you can do to help her, other than what is stated above.

I cannot find anything on the subject of conceiving while actively miscarrying... However, a thought did come to mind... If in fact she was pregnant, it is possible to carry twins and lose one. But that is the only thing I can think of. It doesn't seem to fit your friends case.

U can't have a miscarriage without knowing because they are extremely painful if you ever had a baby that's what they feel like.. they feel like full term labor.. I have a friend that is close and she lies a lot too.. just go along with her

Has anyone here thought that the poor girl may well have been carrying twins and should she have lost the first very early in pregnancy it would have seemed no more than heavy blood loss i.e. a heavy period. Why is everyone so quick to condemn!

If your friend is telling the truth she needs you right now!

If she is lying you will soon find out as pregnancy as a habit of showing!

I highly doubt that it could have been twins, because she said "about 2days ago she called me and told me that she went to go get and ultrasound done and they told her that she had a miscarriege 1 month ago she was 4 months pregnant when she told me, but thats not all she also said that the doctors were amazed because she was also 3wks pregnant again" If it had been twins, this baby would be about 5 months in age/size, instead of just 3 weeks, as they 'said' she had her miscarriage one month prior, and was now 3 weeks pregnant again. Obviously her friend is not condemning her, as she is coming to us asking if it is possible, before confronting her friend and risking causing her unfounded hurt. No one here is condemning her either, and saying that her friend is without a doubt lying, none of us personally know her friend, or what is happening in her body. HOWEVER, we are just making our assumptions based on the information given us, and that is all the poster is asking for. Opinions and advice based on the info.

buggage I agree with you so much if she was pregnant with twins and miscarried one the remaining twin would be 4 months not 3wks , I really doubt if she is telling the truth she has been doing this for so long and as soon as the babies father does the littlest thing to her she claims that she had an abortion because she does not want to have a baby by that certain guy , it is really getting on , my nerves and I also ask her sister about the miscarriage situation and she said that she never said anything to her about it. But I just wanted to thank everyone who gave me there feedback because , I was tired of feeling like I was be played as a fool. Thank you
