Howling noise w on two different toulets
    When flushed they are stacked.
I took a hose on the roof of my two story house but ran into a stoppage app 10 feet down . It feels like a bend in the pupe rather than a. Lo kage but I cannot tell.
Beaides the gent pipes what elsecould it be?
I replaced the refill valve in one toiletbut that didn't work
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Do you get the noise when the toilet is flushing or when the tank is refilling?

Noise will be from vibrating washer somewhere. Could be fill valve but more likely to be in the stop valve. Replace stop valves, probably will be the stop valve lower floor. To test, turn off stop valve lower floor and flush upper toilet.
If not successful look for stop valve on cold water pipe to bathrooms.

What happens if you turn on a faucet while the toilet is refilling?

At the main shut off valve, feel the pipe while the toilet is filling and the faucet is open. Do you have a pressure reducing valve.

Do you feel vibration on the pipe at the main shut off valve while the toilet is filling and the faucet is opening (when the howling is loudest)?

If it's a gate valve it won't be that. Gate valves do not have washers. Do you get any noise when using hot water?

Somewhere in the cold water line there must be a stop valve.
Set up the howling and start feeling the pipes for vibration. Sound travels everywhere. The greater the vibration you feel the closer you are to the source.

Maybe the valve for the washing machine but that's a gate valve looking shut off

Be very unusual to have a gate valve for a washer. Could you mean a 1/4 turn valve?
