Furnace is working but makes a humming noise sometimes usually before the blower starts, but sometimes will hum when the blower is not running.

You may be hearing the inducer fan. It may be loose, bearings or unbalanced impelled. Go to the unit and try to pinpoint. Let us know what you find.
