My heatpump /AC unit was on the same breaker as my garage and a wire in the garage shorted out and kicked the breaker. Since I have put the garage and unit on separate breakers and repaired the problem. My problem now is the heat on my unit works perfect but the AC doesn't seem to be. When you turn on the AC it takes about 5-7 minutes before anything kicks on ( I know the fan motor on top and blower,not sure about compressor) and then it just runs constant but not cool like it should be. Please help. Just had it serviced back in the summer was doing fine before the breaker issue.
