Questions for your own medical practitioner as we do not know your history nor can physically examine you.

As well movement doesn't start until you're about half way through. At this point it is psychosomatic movement. What you might be feeling is the uterus expanding, or contracting if the embryo wasn't viable. As curlyben said, the absolute answer has to come from your doctor.

I really wish we could tell you what's going on. I've been where you are, and not knowing is a killer. But you really won't find answers online.

I can only say that ultrasounds are a best guess, they can be off 2 weeks either way. In very early pregnancy not seeing a sac is not unusual. At 4 weeks it's a crap shoot anyway, but it's very possible you weren't actually 4 weeks along at the time, which would make it even less likely.

I would get a second opinion, ask for another ultrasound. At 10 weeks you would see if the pregnancy is viable, even if your dates are off and you're only 8 weeks along.

As for the flutters, that's in your head. I'm sorry to say that. Movement normally isn't felt until around 20 weeks of pregnancy. Not possible at 10 weeks. Even hearing a heartbeat wouldn't happen for another 2 weeks or so.
