I came on B1 visa on 1st January 2013 and have stayed over 185 days in USA. I recently worn $60K in casino and also earned interest in my bank account. Can I file Married joint 1040 tax return and claim standard deduction and exemption for both spouse? Am I required to report my income from rent and interest in India also?

If you DO file jointly ALL world-wide income must be reported, to include rent and interest earned in India.

You may also have to report the financial accounts on Form 8938 (if total exceeds $100,000) and the FBAR (if total exceeds $10,000).
