My 2005 taurus did not pass the Connecticut emissions test. O had the catalytic cinverte replaced. I replaced the spark plugs and the spark plug wires. I replaced the ignition coil. The engine ran very rough and the exhaust was making a popping sound. When I put the car into gear, the engine stalled out. I removed the new coil and re-installed the old coil. Now the car won't start.
