We have a new Flat Screen TV with a new DVD Player added.. We were told adding a Sound Bar would save the Speakers on the TV.. As luck would have it the Amp died and we were able to control the volume without.. Now adding the Sound Bar we have Sound but No Volume Control.. Are we missing a Component or did we Hook Up in the wrong sequence? Thanks

What brand and model sound bar do you have... most of the ones I've seen have their own amplifier and require volume changes to be made from the soundbars remote or by thje manual controls on the soundbar itself

And I have two Different brands... Sony and Visio.
