Is it normal that no bleed took place at all since then? I am on my 5th pill now and no sign of my period. That normal?

Could be you started midcycle with some random spotting. Chances are the pill wouldn't stop your period. Taking it at the start of your period ensures that the right hormones are there for the beginning of your next cycle to prevent ovulation.

I am not sure what you should do now, beyond continue taking the pills and maybe call your doctor to see what you should do. Are your periods regular? Did the spotting come at the appropriate time for your period if you hadn't started your birthcontrol?
