TVs Keep Losing Picture and Audio - Could it be Wiring?
My daughter has had 4 TVs fail in the last 1.5 years. I bought her a new TV on Friday. Saturday night the picture stopped working but audio remained in working order. Today (Monday) no picture and no audio. The blue signal light comes on, but nothing else. TV has DVD player connected but no cable. She lives in an older home. It has circuit breakers, not fuses. She uses space heaters frequently. What could be causing this?

It would be helpful if you had a digital voltage meter...
First you need to further define what the problem is...
More specifically, is the voltage level low? Is it intermittent?
Spikes or surges? Did any other electronics show signs of failure?
Is the receptacle outlet grounded? Is the polarity correct?
You might consider hiring a professional...
