    Play Station 2 not working
My Playstation is not working. It was knocked off the shelve and the CD holder got stuck. I took off the shell and the cover to where the disc was. Once I got the disc out I put the machine together again. AFter I put it together the CD holder was still stuck so I took it apart again and placed the holder back on its track. After that I put it all together again and know if doesn't work. I am not sure if I pulled the silver looking piece of tape that is connected to the inside of the shell and the machine or if I pulled something else out of place. Please help. Thanks

I recommend checking the whole system entirely before playing. Make sure everything is in place and nothing vital is missing. If this doe'nt work try taking it to be repaired someplace. Either those two ideas or you buy a new one my step- brother recently bought one because his was'nt working anymore and he got his at E.B. Games for $130.

Is this a slimline PS2, or the older model PS2? I know that on the older PS2 model, that the ribbon you speak of can easily be pulled out during disassembly, and that would cause the cd tray not to work. I would make sure that this is not the case. If it is unplugged, you can always use the nearby ribbon cables to see which way to put in the disconnected ribbon.
