I am very tender under the bottom of my right rib cage. It also hurts on coughing or movement sometimes but soreness is constant. I have a fatty liver and my liver enzymes have been elevated for months that I know of for sure. My doctor just put me on cholesterol medicine for high cholesterol thinking that is causing my fatty liver and liver enzymes staying elevated. I've been taking ibuprofen with little relief. I'm also very tired, feel like I'm a bit under the weather. Also my gallbladder has been removed. I'm 42 years old and female.

Your symptoms certainly fit what you might feel from bile, but with liver problems, you really need to tell your doctor about the pain.
And you might want to get a second opinion from a liver specialist.
