Tilt your head forward, not back because it will take the old blood and keep it from going into your brain where the new blood is.

@abby. What ? The new blood is in the brain. What makes you think that?

One tilts their head back to stop the blood flow relax, pinch the bridge of your nose. The blood flow will stop.

Do not tilt your head back, it's actually a very bad idea to do so. Instead, pinch the nose at the bridge, or apply an ice pack to the bridge of the nose.

Huh? New blood is in the brain?

Apply pressure and ice. Tilt the head back.

Now you have to determine what is causing the nose bleed.
