What is the max jail time for first time probation violation in Ohio?
My friend was charged for receiving stolen goods and later they found pot in his system. He's been on probation for either a year or two I can't remember, and has three months to go. He left and went to New York for a couple months and is now back in Ohio. He has now received a letter in the mail saying he has court in two weeks because of his probation violation. I of course called him stupid for not asking his parole officer and saving all this trouble. He says his PO is a nice woman and has pretty much let him roam free, as in she no longer drug tests him or watches for his curfew. I'm just wondering how long it will be if they put him in jail. Also he is trying to pay off a $600 fine.
