First, its not a good idea to piggyback your question on another thread. To avoid confusion I've moved your question to its own thread.
This isn't related to HIPAA in any way, but it is probably a violation of state labor laws. You are required to be paid for every minute you work. If they are requiring that you work after you clock out, that would probably violate labor laws.
So you need to decide whether you want to report it and risk having jobs lost.
